SP Cooper
If you put it outside of yourself, it is easier to see.
I don’t know what I am going to paint. Not knowing gives me freedom to have the experience and to escape the confines of my mind. Planning contradicts the idea that I understand what I might want from it. Even when a painting is finished, the subject remains ambiguous although evidence of the past is contained in its layers.
“The direction of escape is toward freedom, so what is escapism an accusation of?” (Ursula K. LeGuin)
