PaperWorks 2026: Transformations
July 2 to 19
Opening reception Sunday July 5,2 - 5 pm
Paper is one of the most malleable, flexible materials artists can use. It lends itself to experimentation, play, dimensionality, formal rigor and loose abstraction. Paper can be a substrate, an artifact in itself or the subject of creative exploration. It’s cost effective and comes in infinite varieties, making it ideal for taking risks and changing directions. For this exhibition, Upstream Gallery invited artists to show us work on paper that epitomizes these qualities in one way or another. We found the results intriguing, thought provoking and delightful. Come see for yourself!
