Something remarkable happens when artists draw inspiration directly from their surroundings. Unmediated expression may pass imperfectly from eye to hand yet can reveal a deep connection between the artist and the corner of the world that informs their daily life. When the artist resolves the inevitable tensions created by that spontaneous process, the result is often magical.
For final juried show of 2026, we invited artists to submit work informed by drawing inspiration from life – work that speaks to both the physical and the intuitive connections we have to the world around us. This led to a remarkable exhibition of thirty-one artists, each illuminating the complex process of translating life into line and line into personal vision.
