Lanny
Lasky uses found objects in her boxes and collages--materials
retrieved from long use in other contexts.
She
collects fabric, pieces of wood and metal, and bits of machinery
and miscellaneous flea market finds, and puts these materials
together in ways that echo their origins but suggest new sensibilities.
Her
work contains elements of wit, nostalgia and mystery and,
often, the macabre, dark side of life.
